The features of this model include: the pulley located in the central part of the equipment, quality installation of all elements, units and mechanisms fixed on a sturdy metal frame, reliably welded joints. The frame and all working metal parts are coated with a protective anti-corrosion paint and varnish composition. This digger is attached to a motor-tractor equipped with an engine of at least 12 horsepower, with a hitch mounting system.
In operation, the sieving potato digger for the motor-tractor KVMT-44 is engaged from the driven pulley, which receives torque from the machine’s pulley through a belt drive, and then activates an eccentric and connecting rod responsible for the movement of the active blade and the sieving grate. A strong share with high sides made of 5 mm sheet steel easily penetrates up to 20 cm into the soil, cutting clods of earth to a width of 44 cm with root crops located in it. Potatoes together with soil fall onto the vibrating grate, where, as a result of intensive vibration, they are well cleaned and laid on the surface of the beds for subsequent manual collection.
