How to choose a pet

Before buying a pet, assess your ability to care for it. Consider the size of your home, the time available for care, and the financial means to meet the animal’s needs. Choose a type of animal that best fits your lifestyle. If you live in an apartment, a cat or a small dog may be suitable. Larger dog breeds are more appropriate for a house with a yard.
