    Aluminum shadow gap profile 10 mm painted is used to create a shadow gap at the junction of the ceiling and walls around the perimeter of the room. Made of aluminum with or without coating, depending on the need.

    Advantages:

    • Quick installation
    • Even shadow gap along the entire length of the room perimeter
    • Allows you to do without cornices and ceiling moldings.
    • Fully complies with technical requirements

    Installation of the shadow gap profile:

    Walls are leveled in advance, after which a perfectly straight horizontal line is applied to the walls, which is the level line of the ceiling (for this it is better to use a laser level). The resulting line must necessarily close, i.e., end at the starting point; any displacement is not allowed.

    Next, a painted aluminum shadow gap profile (SGP) is fixed around the entire perimeter of the room (it serves as a guide profile and at the same time replaces the standard guide profile for drywall).

    At the points where the SGP meets the wall, a sealing tape should be glued (for example, “Dichtungsband”).

    The standard length of the SGP is 2.5 m; when fastening such long elements, the connection to the wall must occur in at least 4 places.

    The nail anchors used for fastening should have a “mushroom-shaped” head similar to a washer. Such fastening creates a durable and reliable connection because it strengthens the contact of the profiles with the wall.

    It is better to install nail anchors in the classic way: screwing in the anchor and then installing a screw into it.

    Gaps between shadow gap profiles are not acceptable.

    Next, the ceiling is assembled according to the standard drywall ceiling technology.

    Overall, the installation of such a system does not differ from the standard drywall ceiling installation technology, only in this case the standard 27x27 guide profile around the perimeter of the walls is replaced by the shadow gap profile, while the same technical requirements must be observed. Those are the only differences.
