SolarEdge P505 power optimizer is a specialized device designed to increase the output of photovoltaic panels. The optimizer tracks the maximum power point, increasing the energy output from photo modules by 25%. Another function of the optimizers is to monitor the photovoltaic system, collecting and transmitting data for monitoring. The device is installed on each panel or on two panels – this allows detailed control of each panel's production individually. The optimizers are equipped with the SafeDC feature, which automatically disconnects the DC voltage from the modules in case the grid power is lost or the inverter is turned off. Optimizers are compatible with c-Si and all thin-film photo-modules.

For the dual version for parallel connection of two modules use P485. When there is an odd number of photovoltaic modules in a string, it is supported to install one dual-version P485 power optimizer connected to a single photovoltaic module. When connecting one module, seal the unused input connectors with the pair of seals included in the delivery kit.
