Description:

Repair kit for water pump SMD 60-13002.11 old model. The SMD water pump of the old model is characterized by a complex design and at the same time ease of repair. The pump seal (gland) consists of many replaceable parts that are assembled in the correct sequence and installed into the impeller, thus the impeller and the fiber form a single unit that rotates together with the shaft 60-13105.00 of the SMD-60 pump old model.

The bearing cavity is isolated from moisture ingress by the tight contact of the sealing graphite washer of the gland with the support bushing SMD1-1306 of the pump housing. During operation the washer slides on the bushing, as a result of which a contact patch necessary for reliable sealing of the assembly is formed. When assembling the pump, a thin layer of graphite grease should be applied to the sealing washer to speed up the mating-in of the contacting surfaces.

The open bearings of the SMD water pump old model are lubricated with plastic grease LITOL-24, SHRUS-4, CIATIM-221F or other modern greases suitable for the engine operating conditions.
