Description:

Repair kit for water pump SMD 60-13002.11 old model. Two open or semi-closed 305 bearings of standard width 17 mm are installed in the pump. The old-model pump seal (fiber) is installed in the impeller, and the tightness of the assembly is achieved by the tight fit of the graphite sealing washer 14-1312 to the support bushing SMD1-1306 of the water pump. After disassembling the pump, check the housing for damage, cracks and the degree of wear of the bushing. If it is heavily worn, it must be removed and a new support bushing installed.

Tight fit is ensured by the rubbing-in of the graphite washer against the seal support bushing during rotation of the pump shaft while the engine runs. Therefore, when assembling the pump, graphite grease should be applied to the sealing washer of the seal to increase the contact area until the sliding pair steel–graphite surfaces are fully run in.

Rubber-reinforced self-tightening seals (seal rings) protect the bearing assembly from ingress of moisture, dust, contaminants, as well as from lubricant leakage. Through the grease fitting, grease such as LITOL-24, SHRUS-4, CIATIM-221F or other modern equivalents suitable for the climate and operating conditions of the engine is packed into the pump.
