Biofungicides – effective chemical-free plant protection on NDO
Modern crop production increasingly focuses on safe and organic methods. Biofungicides are natural products based on living microorganisms that help protect plants from fungal and bacterial diseases. The following types of biofungicides can be distinguished:

- Translaminar
They penetrate the leaf and distribute between its upper and lower surfaces (even when applied to one side), but do not circulate throughout the entire plant. They are less dependent on weather conditions than contact products.
- Systemic
They penetrate the plant and move through the vascular system, protecting not only the treated site but other parts of the plant as well. These products provide internal plant protection against infections and offer a long-lasting effect.
Biofungicides have several advantages:
- safe for people, animals, and the environment;
- do not cause resistance in pathogens;
- compatible with many agricultural technologies;
- have a stimulating effect on plant growth.
Each product has its own purpose: some work directly in the soil, others on leaves or fruits. When choosing biofungicides, consider the crop type, growing conditions, and the nature of the disease. It is also important to read the instructions to determine the correct dosage and application method.
