Feedroller knife with hardware for Corn Plant (KMS-8) corn header
Purpose
The feedroller knife is designed for chopping and pulling corn stalks during harvesting with the Corn Plant (KMS-8) corn header. It is mounted on the rotating rollers at the lower part of the feed and is one of the key elements of the cutting-feeding mechanism.
Thanks to a quality knife the following is ensured:
-
effective pulling and chopping of stalks;
-
reduced load on other assemblies;
-
even and stable feeding of the header's auger system.
Important:
Pairwise replacement of knives is recommended to preserve roller rotational balance and minimize vibrations.
Operating principle
While the header is moving, the knives mounted on the rotating rollers:
-
Grab and draw the corn stalk into the nodes of the cutting mechanism.
-
Simultaneously perform partial chopping or splitting of the stalk fiber.
-
The stalk mass is directed to the auger, from where it enters the further transport channel of the combine.
Advantages
- High cutting ability
The sharp cutting edge and hardened structure allow easy processing of coarse-stem crops.
- Full compatibility with KMS-8
Fits the standard feed rollers of Corn Plant headers without modifications.
- Wear resistance and durability
Resistant to mechanical abrasion, impact loads and corrosion.
- Supports uniform header operation
Quality knives reduce forces on shafts, decrease bearing wear and energy consumption.
Field of application
-
Corn header KMS-8 Corn Plant
-
Repair or scheduled replacement of feedroller knives
-
Can be used in adapted headers of CLAAS, John Greaves, OROS (specify upon request)
Available: L left and R right.
