The continuous-action sorting machine of the MSX brand (paddy machine) is intended for the separation of hulled products of oats, rice, buckwheat and other cereals at groats plants and cleaning departments of milling enterprises.

The paddy machine consists of two main units: the table and the base.
A feeder is installed on the machine table, with the help of which the product can be evenly distributed into the channels.
The table is divided into three tiers or five tiers,
in each of which there are respectively eight or ten working channels.

For observing the movement of the product, the table is equipped with inspection windows.
The table is mounted on the base, resting on four supporting and four locking wheels.
The locking wheels are installed so as to eliminate transverse play of the table relative to the base.
The pulley on which the rocker is mounted is driven by the motor pulley through a V-belt drive.

With the help of the rocker, the rotational movement of the pulley is converted into reciprocating motion of the table.
As a result of such oscillations the light product moves to the upper outlet, the heavy one to the lower outlet.
A mandatory condition for product separation is the presence of a product layer in the machine channel only at the level of 10–15 mm.
Therefore, if necessary, the feed to some channels can be closed. When the entire working volume is completely filled, the paddy machine contains about 120 kg of product.
