Agricultural equipment for growing garlic 2-row CHS17 (spoons enlarged Ø34) is intended for coupling with minitractors. The design of the trailed hitch assembly of the garlic planting device is calculated for three-point fastening and the use of a hydraulic lift system. The hitch assembly of the planter for garlic and onions has double-sided fingers with diameters of 22 and 27 mm. The garlic planter is designed for use with machinery with power from 8 hp. When using the garlic planter with machinery more powerful than 24 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work with caution, monitoring the load on the units of the garlic and onion planter.
Purpose and conditions of use of the garlic seeder CHS17
The garlic seeder is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and sets of onions on previously cultivated and prepared soils, with soil moisture no more than 30%. For planting with the garlic planter it is necessary to use calibrated planting material sized 25-35 mm. Features of the garlic planter design The garlic planter has a sectional design. Each row of the garlic planter uses a separate section with a conveyor and a hopper for planting material. The capacity of one hopper is 10 liters. The drive of the dosing mechanism is carried out from the support-drive wheels of the garlic seeder. The CHS17 garlic planter uses a single-shaft drive system for the dosing mechanism. Planting pitch in the row: 110 mm, 125 mm and 140 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox of the garlic planter. To compensate for the chain length in the CHS17 garlic planter a tensioner is used. The coulter and furrow closers are adjustable in the garlic planter. Planting depth of the garlic planter - 60-80 mm. Row spacing is adjustable in the range from 200 to 530 mm. Track width of the CHS17 garlic planter – 1400 mm. For convenience of connection the CHS17 garlic seeder is equipped with two removable handles. During operation the handles must be detached.
Contents of the garlic and onion seeder: hopper – 2 pcs.; conveyor – 2 pcs.; frame – 1 pc.; support-drive wheel – 2 pcs.; chain drive – 1 pc. Additional equipment: row marker; chain with double-sided spoons (CHSd5). Overall dimensions – 1580*1200*930 mm.
