2-row garlic planter CHS15 (standard spoons Ø24.5) is designed to be used with mini-tractors. The hitch assembly of the CHS15 garlic planter is designed for three-point mounting and use of a hydraulic lift system.
The hitch assembly of the garlic planter has double-sided pins with diameters of 22 and 27 mm. The garlic planter is intended for use with equipment with power from 12 hp. When using the garlic planter with equipment more powerful than 24 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work with caution, monitoring the load on the units of the garlic seeder.
Purpose and conditions of use of the CHS15 garlic planter
The garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and onion sets on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture not more than 30%. For planting with the CHS15 garlic planting equipment, calibrated planting material sized 15-25 mm must be used.
Design features of the two-row device for planting garlic
The planter for garlic and onions has a sectional design. Each row of the onion and garlic planter uses a separate section with a conveyor and a hopper for planting material. The capacity of one hopper is 10 liters.
The drive of the metering mechanism is carried out from the drive-support wheels of the garlic planter. The onion and garlic planter uses a single-shaft drive system for the metering mechanism. Planting pitch in a row: 110 mm, 125 mm and 140 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the planter's chain gearbox. A tensioner is used to compensate for the chain length of the garlic seeder. The furrower and coverers of the garlic seeder are adjustable. Planting depth - 60-80 mm. The row spacing of the garlic and onion seeder is adjustable from 200 to 530 mm.
Track width of the garlic planter – 1400 mm.
For convenience of connection the garlic planter is equipped with two removable handles. During operation of the garlic planter the handles must be detached.

hopper – 2 pcs.; conveyor – 2 pcs.; frame – 1 pc.; drive-support wheel – 2 pcs.; chain drive – 1 pc. Additional equipment: row marker. Overall dimensions – 1580*1200*930 mm.
