Single-row planter for garlic and onions BChS1 (standard cups - 25 mm) is designed for use with a walk-behind tractor. The hitch assembly design of the onion and garlic planter is intended for single-point mounting of the walk-behind tractor type. The garlic seeder is intended for use with a walk-behind tractor with power from 6 hp. When using the garlic seeder with a motor-tractor more powerful than 8 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work with caution, controlling the load on the units of the garlic and onion planter.
Purpose and conditions of use of the BChS1 garlic planter
The mounted garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and sets of onions on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture no more than 30%. For planting it is necessary to use calibrated planting material sized 15-25 mm.
Design features of the BChS1 garlic planter
The hopper capacity for planting material is 7 liters. The dosing mechanism is driven by a ground-driven wheel. Planting spacing in the row: 110 mm, 125 mm, 140 mm, is regulated by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox of the garlic planter. A tensioner is used to compensate for the chain length. The furrower and coverers are adjustable, planting depth – 60-80 mm. A row marker is used for marking and aligning rows.
Configuration of the BChS1 garlic seeder:
Hopper volume about 8 kg; conveyor; frame; ground-driven wheel; chain drive; row marker. Chain length 113 cm, for 15 cups. Cup diameter 25 mm. Planting depth 60-80 mm. Planting step in the row 110, 125, 140 mm. Seeding rate from 7 to 10 cloves per meter. Hopper width at the widest point 25 cm, length 40 cm. Overall dimensions – 970 × 950 × 280 mm.
