The GR deep ripper manufactured at the “BILOTSERKIVMAZ” plant is used for:

post-harvest loosening and pre-sowing cultivation of soil covered with stubble and a mulching layer;
treatment of beds and forage lands.

The use of deep rippers is an increasingly widespread method of soil cultivation that protects the environment.

The GR-2.5 consists of a main frame, a hitch device and two tandem-spur rollers. During operation the unit provides:

additional crushing and leveling of the topsoil;
good aeration and infiltration of rain and meltwater;
a several-fold increase in soil porosity;
increased water permeability;

The GR deep ripper is designed to work with tractors of class not less than 20 kN (2.0 tf) and 30 kN (3.0 tf), equipped with a three-point hitch system with power of 165…240 hp. The unit can be operated in all soil-climatic zones.

The recommended operating speed of the deep ripper is 6-12 km/h.

The working depth is adjustable from 25 to 45 cm.

If the tractor’s tractive effort is insufficient, it is necessary to reduce the working depth. At soil hardness greater than 3.5 MPa, the maximum allowable working depth is 30 cm. When cultivating heavy soils, to prevent breakage and deformation of the deep ripper’s shanks, do not over-deepen the working elements of the unit. At soil hardness greater than 3.5 MPa, the maximum allowable working depth is 30 cm.
