The mulcher for walk-behind tractor KU13 (front attachment) is designed for working land plots after harvest - cutting and shredding vegetation (weeds, shoots, stubble residues) that remain. The shredded green mass protects the soil from drying out and wind erosion, retains moisture, and after decomposition forms compost that enriches the soil with nourishing trace elements that increase crop yields.
The KU13 mulcher attaches to a walk-behind tractor with power from 10 horsepower, secured to the front of the machine using a single-point device. A protective cover made of high-quality sheet steel is mounted on a strong profiled frame; above it is a gearbox for belt drive with a chain transmission and a sprocket system that starts the rotation of the equipment's working shaft. The hitch is equipped with a support wheel with adjustable height, depending on the complexity of the terrain of the area being worked.
The working mechanism installed on the KU13 mulcher for a walk-behind tractor (front attachment) consists of a durable long steel tube (88 cm) and 36 hammer-type knives (4 mm thickness) with sharply sharpened edges made of heat-treated structural steel. The knives are arranged in pairs in special mounts welded to the shaft. Bearings installed on all shafts provide smooth even operation of the coupling units.
