Description of the FN-1.6U rotary soil tiller for tractors. Rotary soil tillers are used for final pre-sowing soil cultivation in one working pass, eliminating prior plowing and harrowing. At the same time, active crushing and mixing of the topsoil layer occurs, weeds are destroyed, crop residues and fertilizers are incorporated, the surface is leveled, and optimal porosity and soil structure are created, which increases its biological and biochemical activity. Soil tillers are used both in open fields and in greenhouses, on flat surfaces and on beds, and are used in forest nurseries and park-and-garden farms. They are most effective when working heavy, waterlogged soils, cutting hummocks, and also for improving and rejuvenating meadows and pastures. Features of the FN-1.6U soil tiller: the FN-1.6U soil tiller has a reinforced construction; the tiller blades are mounted not in cantilever cup-holders but on steel discs reliably welded to the tiller shaft; the increased weight of the tiller and the increased number of blades allow higher quality and more effective crushing and mixing of the soil. Each tiller section is equipped with 6 replaceable shovel-shaped blades, 3 right and 3 left blades arranged at a 120-degree angle; the blades have increased wear resistance, blade thickness increased to 6.0 mm, blade width also increased to 67 mm; the tiller gearbox is located in the center and is equipped with an output shaft with eight splines; the fastening of the housing and tiller elements is made with bolted connections, which indicates high maintainability.
