Variety COLORADOApricot Colorado (Colorado) - a new ultra-early apricot variety of Spanish breeding. The variety was developed in Spain very recently. Harvest ripening at the end of May - beginning of June, significantly earlier than other known very early apricot varieties. According to tables and comparisons with other apricot varieties by deviations from reference varieties in the conditions of Zaporizhzhia region, harvests are expected at the end of May. At the moment, only the Early Red Orange variety ripens at the end of May. The average commercial fruit weight is 85 g, individual fruits up to 120 g and larger, which is a record figure for early apricots. Fruits are bright orange, round-oval in shape, with a bright red blush on the sunny side, high standards in terms of fruit quality, size, uniformity, and also excellent transportation characteristics; fruits do not crack. The flesh is orange, dense, of excellent balanced taste, the stone separates. Sugar content 14° on the Brix scale.Trees are vigorous, crown semi-spreading, with early entry into fruiting. One-year shoots are cherry-red in color. High yield, the variety is industrial. It is likely that it can be successfully grown in most regions of Ukraine. New in Ukraine!
