Afore SmartMeter is an intelligent device for controlling Afore inverters connected to the grid. Its function includes measuring consumed and returned-to-grid energy and transmitting this data to the inverter using the RS485 communication protocol. The second function is to ensure that the inverter power is less than or equal to the user’s consumed energy and that power is not fed into the power grid. The 35 mm DIN rail and modular design have advantages, in particular small size, easy installation and simple connection to the grid.
The SmartMeter is used in grid-tied solar power plants for self-consumption compensation, operating without connection to a "green" tariff.

Description
