The grid-tied solar station is designed to generate profit under the green tariff in Ukraine, save consumed electricity and smooth peak loads.

How this system works:

The electricity produced by the photovoltaic modules supplies the household's own consumption. When the generation power of the solar power plant exceeds the household consumption, the excess energy is "fed" into the public power grid, and when the system generation is insufficient, the missing energy is consumed from the public power grid. Payment under the green tariff is made at the end of each month for the excess generated electricity (that is, for the positive difference between the station's generation reading and the household consumption).

A feature of this type of photovoltaic stations is that the system operates only when there is voltage in the external power grid.

Generation in real conditions depends on actual weather conditions and may differ by ±15%;

The amount of capital investment for the equipment will be $11,990.

On average a grid-tied station with a capacity of 15 kW generates 15.4 MWh of electricity in 1 year of operation.

The price of one kilowatt under the “green" tariff is 0.164 euro; in 1 year of operation the station will bring $2,480 taking taxes into account, provided all generated electricity is sold.

Payback of the station is less than 3.5 years with minimal self-consumption.
