A grid-tied solar station is designed to generate profit under Ukraine's green tariff, save consumed electricity and smooth peak loads.
How this system works:
Electricity produced by the photovoltaic modules supplies the household's own consumption. When the solar station's generation power exceeds household consumption, the excess energy is "given" to the public grid, and when the system's generation is insufficient, the missing energy is consumed from the public grid. Payment under the "green" tariff is made at the end of each month for the excess generated electricity (that is, for the positive difference between the station's generation reading and the household consumption).
The feature of this type of photovoltaic stations is that the system operates only when there is voltage from the external power grid.
