Description:

Repair kit for water pump (pump) 72-13002.00 and 72-13002.00-01, which are interchangeable with pump 60-13002.11 of the SMD-60 engine, T-150 tractor. These pumps were fitted to SMD engines of harvesting equipment KSKU-6, KSK-100 and KSG-F-70.

The seal (gland) of the water pump 01-13S9 of the new model from the repair kit is made with a steel housing and has a steel spring inside. Before installation into the SMD pump housing, the seal is recommended to be lubricated with sealant for reliability. Water pump impellers were originally made of cast iron, then they began to be produced from plastic or from carbolite with a steel bushing inside, thus achieving a significant cost reduction of the design. Also, plastic impellers do not require balancing.

The bearings in the repair kit may be with protective shields (dust covers) or without them. Closed bearings can easily be converted to open ones by simply removing the protective shields. Open bearings require regular lubrication through a grease fitting. The seal rings protect against dirt and retain grease inside the bearing cavity during engine operation.

A layer of graphite grease should be applied to the graphite part of the seal to eliminate coolant leakage from the pump inspection hole until the graphite sealing ring fully runs in against the impeller bushing.
