Description:

The repair kit is necessary for repairing pump 72-13002.00 and water pump 72-13002.00-01. This water pump is interchangeable with pump 60-13002.11 of the SMD-60 engine, tractor T-150, but differs from it in construction.

The seal (gland) of the water pump is a cartridge that contains a sealing washer, a spring and retainers. It is pressed into the seating in the pump housing.

The bearings in the repair kit do not have rubber-armored protective washers, so they require lubrication. Rubber-armored seals (sleeves) prevent the lubricant from leaking during operation from the bearing assembly.

Before installation, it is recommended to apply a little graphite grease to the sealing washer of the gland to prevent coolant leakage from the pump's inspection hole until the graphite washer has fully seated against the sliding sleeve.

The sliding sleeve is located in the impeller of the SMD-72 pump and slides during operation along the sealing washer of seal 01-13S9 from the T-150 water pump repair kit, combines KSK-100, KSG-F-70 and KSKU-6.

On the shaft of the water pump there are two journals for mounting the bearings, a shank with a flat for the impeller and a shank with a groove for mounting the pulley hub and a thread for screwing on a castle nut for cotter pinting.
