Description:

Repair kit for the water pump of the MTZ-80, 82 tractor with D-240, D-243 engines, economy class with impeller. It is distinguished by an affordable price and quality. It is installed in pump housing 245-1307025-01.

The pump shaft has a flat (key) and an internal thread for fixing the impeller and preventing its rotation. The impeller is molded from plastic with a steel bushing in the center, which has a projection for the flat and serves as the sealing ring sliding surface of the pump. The new-type water pump seal has a steel spring and housing, therefore it is recommended when installing to lubricate the seating area inside the pump housing with sealant, and to place grease inside the barrel to protect the spring from corrosion.

To ensure reliable sealing and bedding-in of moving working surfaces, it is recommended to lubricate the surface of the sliding ring with a thin layer of graphite lubricant. The bearings in this repair kit are already standard by 4 mm. Assembly of the water pump must be carried out using a hand press to avoid damage to parts. With correct pump assembly, this repair kit allows the water pump to operate for a fairly long time as part of the cooling system of MMZ D-240, D-243 and D-245 engines.
