Description of the STP-12 vegetable seeder for tractor The vegetable seeder is intended for precise row sowing of vegetable crop seeds on previously tilled and prepared soils. The STP-12 vegetable seeder can sow 12 rows simultaneously. It is well suited for use with tractors of 18 hp and above with a standard three-point hitch. Using a seeder of this series allows a significant reduction in seed material costs, as well as an increase in productivity and planting speed, and a reduction in wage costs for hired labor by mechanizing this labor-intensive process. For precise sowing, the speed and uniformity of plant emergence depend not only on seed quality but also on the conditions created for it by the seeder’s working parts. The STP series seeder is equipped with coulters that can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally, allowing changes to the row spacing and the seed sowing depth. Seed hoppers are made of UV-resistant transparent plastic. This makes it possible to constantly monitor the remaining seed in them to avoid unwanted cases when the seed runs out and skips occur. Each hopper is equipped with a lid that prevents seed from spilling during movement over uneven surfaces and protects it from precipitation and dirt. The hopper also has an opening for convenient removal of remaining seeds after work is completed.
