Two-row garlic planter ChS23 (chain with double scoop Ø34, Ø24.5) is intended for coupling with mini tractors. The design of the hitch unit is calculated for three-point mounting and the use of a hydraulic lift system. The hitch unit has double-sided pins with diameters of 22 and 27 mm. The garlic planter is designed for use with equipment with power from 8 hp. When using the garlic planter with equipment more powerful than 24 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases, it is necessary to operate with caution, controlling the load on the planter units.
Purpose and operating conditions
The garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and onion sets on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture not more than 30%. For planting, it is necessary to use calibrated planting material sized 15-35 mm.
Design features of the garlic planter
Supplied complete with a chain (ChSd5) that has double-sided scoops. The use of a chain with double-sided scoops makes the garlic planter universal and allows the buyer to plant cloves and single-clove garlic sized from 15 to 35 mm.
The garlic planter has a sectional design. Each row uses a separate section with a conveyor and a hopper for planting material. The capacity of one hopper is 10 liters. Drive of the metering mechanism is carried out from the support-drive wheels. A single-shaft drive system of the metering mechanism is used in the garlic seeder. Row spacing along the row: 110 mm, 125 mm and 140 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox. A tensioner is used to compensate the chain length. The coulter and the coverers are adjustable. Planting depth - 60-80 mm. Row width is adjustable in the range from 200 to 530 mm. Track width – 1400 mm. For convenient connection the planter is equipped with two removable handles. During operation the handles must be detached.
