Description of the two-row potato planter S239 A modern two-row potato planter provides fast and efficient planting of potatoes in pre-prepared soil using a tractor. It attaches to the three-point hitch behind the tractor. The potato planter was developed taking into account the suggestions and wishes of Ukrainian farmers who professionally grow potatoes. The potato hopper is welded metal, increased capacity – 180 L. Frame – reinforced. Drive from the ground-engaging support wheels to the elevator is via chain transmission. Scoops for placing the potatoes are located on the chain. There is also the ability to adjust the row spacing and the distance between tubers in a row (by changing the diameters of the driving ground-engaging wheels). The furrow is formed by a wedge-shaped coulter with adjustable depth. If a fertilizer seeding unit is additionally installed, simultaneous with potato planting a measured application of granular mineral fertilizers into the soil is performed.
