Description of the STP-10 vegetable seeder for a tractor The vegetable seeder is designed for precise row sowing of vegetable crop seeds on previously cultivated and prepared soils. The STP-10 vegetable seeder can sow 10 rows simultaneously. It is well suited for use with tractors of at least 18 hp with standard three-point linkage. Use of a seeder of this series significantly reduces the consumption of seed material, as well as increases planting productivity and speed, and reduces labor costs for hired workers by mechanizing this labor-intensive process. For precise sowing, the speed and uniformity of plant emergence depend not only on seed quality but also on the conditions created for it by the seeder’s working units. The STP series seeder is equipped with openers that can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally, allowing the inter-row spacing and seed planting depth to be changed. The seed hoppers are made of UV-resistant transparent plastic. This makes it possible to constantly monitor the remaining seed material in them to avoid unwanted situations when the seed runs out and skips occur. Each hopper is equipped with a lid that prevents seed from spilling during movement over uneven surfaces and protects it from precipitation and dirt. The hopper also has an opening for convenient removal of remaining seeds after work is finished.
