Description of the vegetable seed drill STP-8 for tractor The vegetable seed drill is designed for precise row sowing of vegetable crop seeds on previously cultivated and prepared soils. The STP-8 vegetable seed drill can sow 8 rows simultaneously. It is well suited for use with tractors with power from 18 hp with standard three-point hitch. Using a drill of this series allows a significant reduction in seed material costs, as well as increases productivity and planting speed, reduces labor costs for hired workers due to mechanization of this labor-intensive process. With precise sowing, the speed and uniformity of plant emergence depend not only on seed quality but also on the conditions created for it by the drill's working units. The STP series drill is equipped with coulters that can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally, allowing changes to the interrow spacing and seed planting depth. Seed hoppers are made of UV-resistant transparent plastic. This provides the ability to constantly monitor the remaining seed material in them to avoid unwanted cases when seed runs out and gaps in sowing occur. Each hopper is equipped with a lid that prevents seed from spilling during movement over uneven surfaces and protects it from precipitation and dirt. The hopper also has an opening for convenient removal of seed residues after work completion.
