Tractor KENTAVR 404X — a reliable and functional 40-horsepower diesel tractor KENTAVR 404X is equipped with a 4-cylinder diesel engine KM490VT with a displacement of 2545 cm³ with a direct fuel injection system. The lack of a turbocharger is compensated by stable operation and fuel efficiency. Engine and air filtration The oil-bath filter with a metal mesh and cyclone provides reliable protection of the engine from contamination. An electric glow torch plug is used to facilitate starting in cold weather. A 65 L fuel tank ensures long autonomous operation. Transmission and controls The mechanical transmission has a shifting formula (4×2)+(4×2), which includes 4 main gears and 2 reduction gears with neutral. A separate reversing gearbox is present. The clutch is single-function, dual-disc, of the constantly engaged type. Hydrostatic steering with a separate pump and oil tank provides precise and easy steering. Rear drum brakes have separate pedals with the possibility of synchronous operation. Chassis and mounted equipment The 4×4 wheel formula provides good passability on various soils. The rear universal 3-point hitch with a closed-type hydraulic cylinder supports mounted implements, PTO speeds — 540 and 1000 rpm. The hydraulic system has 2 outlets with quick-release couplings for connecting units. Ergonomics and equipment The tractor has no cab, but a sprung seat with distance adjustment to the steering wheel and armrests provides driver comfort. The instrument panel is multifunctional, with a digital pressure gauge. A flat floor adds convenience. There is an electrical socket for a trailer, basic lighting, rear-view mirrors, a horn and hazard warning. This tractor is suitable for work on medium-sized plots, in private farms and the municipal sector.
