    Variety CARMIN JEWELSelf-fertile variety Carmin Jewel was developed at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada in 1999. The main advantages are excellent resistance to harsh climatic conditions, undemanding in cultivation, high productivity. Fruit ripening from the third decade of July to the second decade of August.The tree is dwarf, reaching about 2 meters in height at maturity, which provides quick, unobstructed harvest. Seedlings begin to bear fruit in 3 - 4 years. Fruits are large, uniform, average weight 6 - 8 grams, color dark red or burgundy. The taste is original, cannot be compared with ordinary cherry varieties, very sweet, tender, not cloying, sugar content in the fruits reaches up to 14%. The pit is small.High resistance to pests and diseases has been noted.Planting is recommended in sunny areas, loam soils are more suitable.
