    Variety DIVO VISHNYADIVO VISHNYA is a hybrid of sour cherry and sweet cherry. Ukrainian variety. The variety was developed at the Donetsk experimental station of horticulture by breeder L.I. Taranenko by crossing Griot Ostheim and the sweet cherry Valeriy Chkalov. Ripening time: first decade of June. Fruits are large, weighing 8-9 g, sometimes more, rounded in shape, dark burgundy in color. Flesh is burgundy, juicy, firm, sweet like a sweet cherry, with an aroma medium between sweet cherry and sour cherry. The pit is of medium size, easily separates from the flesh. The tree is medium-growing, forms a narrow-pyramidal crown, first fruits set on 2–3-year-old seedlings. Any sweet cherry that blooms at the same time can be a pollinator for the variety. The variety is very winter-hardy and resistant to the main fungal diseases that trouble cherries, such as coccomycosis and moniliosis. The fruits are highly sought after fresh and are very tasty after any processing.
