Variety FLORIDA BEAUTYFlorida Beauty — remontant strawberry of American breeding, developed in 2016 (University of Florida, USA). Commercial use of the variety began in 2018.The berry is medium-large (average weight 19–22 g), bright red, glossy; the shape and size of the berry remain consistent throughout the fruiting season. The flesh is very dense and firm even at full ripeness. The berry has a pleasant dessert taste and a characteristic strawberry aroma. It has excellent rain resistance. Fruit transportability and shelf life are very good. The plant is very compact and open, which provides good air circulation and berry visibility. Flower stalks are relatively long, which facilitates easy harvest. In production trials the variety showed good heat tolerance. The variety is relatively resistant to root rots and other diseases.Recommended plant spacing is 25–30 cm. The variety is characterized by an early start of fruiting, so it is recommended after planting to remove the first wave of flower stalks to ensure full restoration of the root system and vegetative mass of the plant for larger berries in the future. The variety is suitable for cultivation in open and covered ground as well as in substrate. Root system is bare.
