24–27V direct current generator with a maximum current of 60A from the German brand Könner & Söhnen® – designed as a backup charging device for charging 24V batteries. The generator does not require any converters to obtain a 24V DC voltage, which significantly increases efficiency and eliminates undesirable effects typical when using AC generators in 24V power systems, such as solar systems, medical and telecommunication equipment, fire protection systems, and video surveillance systems. This generator can also be used to maintain/charge the battery while a vehicle is parked.
The generator has an AUTO mode which, using a built-in controller, continuously monitors the battery voltage and automatically begins charging when the voltage drops and finishes charging when the set parameters are reached. The second operating mode is MANUAL/EXTERNAL; using the “CONTROL TERMINAL” the generator can be connected to an external device and its start and stop can be controlled via dry contacts.
The generator is connected directly to the battery, which simplifies installation. The ability for external control via “dry contacts” significantly expands the possibilities for integrating the generator into existing power supply systems.
The soundproof housing reduces noise levels during generator operation, making its use more comfortable.
The control panel contains all necessary indicators, measuring instruments, and controls. The control panel includes the following elements: a voltage indicator that displays the current generator voltage, an overload indicator that signals when the permissible load is exceeded, and an oil level indicator that shows the lubricant level status, helping to prevent engine damage due to insufficient oil. The voltmeter measures the generator output voltage, and the ammeter determines the current strength, allowing monitoring of the device’s operation.
