The grid-tied solar station is designed to generate profit from the green tariff, save consumed electricity, and smooth peak loads.

How this system works:

Electricity produced by the photovoltaic modules supplies the household's own consumption. When the station's generation exceeds the home's consumption, the surplus energy is "given" to the public power grid, and when generation is insufficient the needed energy is consumed from the public power grid. Payment under the "green" tariff is made at the end of each month for the surplus generated electricity (that is, for the positive difference between the station's generation and the household's consumption).

A feature of this type of photovoltaic stations is that the system operates only when there is voltage from the external power grid.
