Description:

Kit for replacing worn parts of the water pump with housing 245-1307025 for MMZ engines D-245, 243, 240. The repair kit includes bearings of the standard width 21 mm, which will allow the water pump, after proper assembly, to pump the coolant through the system for a sufficiently long time.

The water pump seal 240-1307030 of the new design (barrel type) is a cartridge self-energizing face seal. It replaced the old style layered fiber that was inserted into the impeller. The steel housing of the new-type seal is pressed into the pump housing seating, and the graphite sealing ring creates a friction pair with the washer 260-1307171, installed on the rubber seal, which in turn is pressed by the impeller that is pressed onto the pump shaft.

To avoid leaks, it is recommended to install the rubber seal on the impeller using sealant. Place the washer on top of it; it is advisable to lubricate its working surface with a thin layer of colloidal-graphite grease to prevent fluid leakage until the washer fully seats against the working surface of the graphite sealing ring of the seal. Semi-enclosed pump bearings should be washed of possible contaminants before installation and lubricated. Fill the cavity between the bearings with LITOL-24 grease.
