Description:

Provides normal service life of the water pump after repair. Installed into pump housing 245-1307025-01.

Water pump shaft with a flat for convenient and simple impeller installation. Semi-enclosed bearings of normal width 21 mm with a separator for seven balls. Before installing the bearings, it is recommended to wash them from possible contamination in diesel and insert grease LITOL 24 or similar into the bearing. Fully sealed bearings do not require grease.

The water pump seal, sometimes called the new-type fibre, has a steel body and a spring. To increase the seal's service life, it can be seated with sealant, and its working part can be lubricated with graphite grease to speed up mating to the impeller bushing.

Replace worn parts carefully using a puller, hand press and vise. Do not use a hammer and a socket on the knee to avoid reducing the pump's service life from deformations of parts that occur during such replacement of a newly purchased repair kit. This is especially true for the seal, which has a fragile graphite sealing element.
