High-efficiency specialized equipment - the rotary mower for a walk-behind tractor KR-1.1M is successfully used for mowing grass of any density, handles tall tough vegetation excellently, and is used for clearing fields of dry growth, crop residues and individual shrubs. It works equally productively on flat plots and on uneven terrain.
Mowing is performed by two rotors driven by the PTO pulley of the machine via a belt drive, transmitting torque to the working shaft with reinforced gears located in a closed metal housing. The rotor disks are equipped with eight movable knives (4 on each) - when the disks rotate, the cutting elements, under centrifugal force, take the working position and cut the grass to a height of 5–6 cm from the field surface. Due to the counter-rotation of the disks, the mown mass lies in even windrows along the direction of travel of the machine.
The rotary mower KR-1.1M is mounted at the front of transport with power from 8 horsepower using a single-point hitch. At a working speed of the walk-behind tractor up to 6 km/h, the unit reaches a maximum productivity of 0.5 ha/h, processing in one pass an area 110 cm wide. Smooth operation is provided by the lower rotor plates; the floating fixation of the knives allows freely bypassing various obstacles such as stones or hard objects, and protects the equipment from breakdowns during active work.
