Inexpensive compact two-body plow for the PMM-2-20 motor-tractor is intended for tillage on small plots, without stones and other mechanical impurities. Suitable for working light and heavy soils, it is mounted on motorized agricultural equipment with power from 12 horsepower using a rear single-point hitch. It has a durable longitudinal metal frame on which the working bodies and a support wheel are fixed.
This moldboard plow for the motor-tractor is equipped with two bottoms mounted on strong steel stands that have special mounting holes designed for adjusting the plowing depth. This model is designed for a penetration depth up to 18 cm and a plowing width of 30 cm. All moldboard elements — share, moldboard and frog — are of a detachable type. Under intensive use, individual parts may wear out faster, therefore special fastening joints are provided for easy replacement of an old element with a new one.
The plowing process of the 2-body plow for the PMM-2-20 motor-tractor follows the standard principle — the shares cut soil layers, feed them to the moldboards where the soil is thoroughly loosened, and plant residues are finally crushed. Thanks to the well-thought-out shape of the moldboard, the soil is completely turned over, the top layer with vegetation ends up at the bottom of the furrow covered with a layer of soil. Deep burial of plants occurs, which, rotting, forms compost that enriches the soil with nutrients.
