Thanks to its V-belt drive, the DTZ 470BN has a number of tangible advantages over walk-behind tractors with similar power but a direct gear drive. First of all, the belt drive simultaneously serves as a power transmission, a clutch, and a safety system element. If during operation the rotary tiller suddenly jams on a stone or a stick, the belt drive cushions the shock and prevents damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, a tractor with a belt drive is significantly lighter in weight and cheaper in price, and also simpler and more convenient to operate and maintain. A gasoline engine at the same power costs less than a diesel one, has lower weight which is important for ease of steering the walk-behind tractor, starts easily at low air temperatures, makes less noise, and is also simpler and cheaper to service and operate, and less sensitive to fuel quality. This tractor has a bracket for front-mounted implements, for example a mower, which can be easily connected using the free pulley on the drive pulley.
