Vitosol 200-FM type SH2F - powerful flat collector with ThermProtect absorber-layer connection for vertical installation

The powerful flat collector Vitosol 200-FM, supplied in a silver-coloured frame, will be an ideal addition to any heating system. With an absorber area of 2.3 m² these collectors are suitable for consumers with various energy needs.

The powerful flat collectors Vitosol 200-FM will be an ideal addition to any heating system. With an absorber area of 2.3 m² they are suitable for consumers with any level of demand.

On an annual basis they cover up to 60 percent of the energy required for domestic hot water and contribute to heating. When working together with a condensing boiler, thanks to free solar energy, these collectors allow you to save even a third of the energy needed for heating and producing hot water over the year.

ThermProtect protects against overheating

The "smart" absorber layer protects the collectors from overheating. ThermProtect technology, patented by Viessmann, blocks the collector's further uptake of energy when a certain temperature level is reached.

ThermProtect allows Vitosol 100-FM to achieve higher performance compared to conventional collectors. When the limit temperature is exceeded, the crystalline structure of the absorbing layer changes, its heat release increases many times, and the collector's output decreases. As a result the so-called stagnation temperature becomes significantly lower, and steam does not form in the solar circuit.

When the collector temperature decreases, the crystalline structure returns to its original state. The absorber again absorbs more than 95 percent of the solar energy received, converting it into useful heat. Only a small fraction - about five percent - is reflected back. Such changes in the crystalline structure can be repeated an unlimited number of times - the working qualities of the collector will not deteriorate.

Always tight and with quality thermal insulation

The aluminium frame, folded at the edges, and the seamless edging of the collector itself ensure long-term tightness and high structural stability. The rear wall of the collector is impact- and corrosion-resistant. High-quality thermal insulation significantly reduces heat losses, especially in cold weather.

Easy installation

The collectors are very easy to install. Built-in supply and return manifold pipes allow reliable mounting of large areas from many modules using a flexible stainless steel plug connector. Up to twelve solar collectors can be easily connected to each other.

Flat collectors are versatile for mounting on roofs, for integration into the roof surface, or for installation in a raised position on flat roofs. Viessmann's quick-mount system consists of components that withstand static loads and are corrosion-protected, made of stainless steel and aluminium.

Integration into the roof

The Vitosol 200-FM collector, type SV2G (vertical) or SH2G (horizontal), can harmoniously blend with the roof when embedded into the roofing almost to the full depth.
