Description of the PRP-80/70 baler-collector The most rational, economical and efficient way to transport and store mown hay or cereal straw is in the form of pressed rolls or bales. The baler-collector picks up windrows of hay from natural and sown cereal grasses or straw from the field surface and compresses them into cylindrical roll-shaped bales, tying them with binding twine-rope. The unit is mounted on the tractor's rear hitch system and during operation rests on its own wheels to ensure even feeding of hay into the hopper. During filling of the hopper an audible signal is sent to the tractor driver indicating the need to engage the binding mechanism and subsequently to unload. The baler-collector is driven by the power take-off shaft, and the hopper cover is raised during unloading using a hydraulic cylinder. Description
