TRACTOR HORST G 404DXU: HITCHES UP FOR FOUR WITHOUT ANY EXTRA CHATTER Sometimes a person puts on a fog, but in reality — it’s just a bluff. But with the Horst G 404DXU tractor it’s different. Looking for a hidden catch? You’ll only waste your time: this machine doesn’t hide behind pretty promises, everything is out in the open. This is one of those cases where the machine fights for its place under the sun “with blood and sweat” every day! ENGINE Under the hood a honest 4-cylinder 2.5-liter naturally aspirated KM engine pulls the load with 40 “horses”. A proven contact-oil filter reliably cares for air cleanliness in the engine. Cold starts are not an issue thanks to the electric glow plug. And a solid 48-liter polymer tank is conveniently hidden under the driver’s platform and protected from below by a metal plate. The engine is stopped simply — by turning the key. TRANSMISSION AND CHASSIS Thanks to successful balancing and ballast weights front and rear the tractor’s operating weight reaches 1735 kg, providing excellent traction and a drawbar pull of 8 kN. At the same time the agro-clearance of 430 mm protects plant stalks, and split rims allow quick adjustment of track width for the needed row spacing. Maximum working flexibility is provided by the reversible mechanical gearbox with 8 forward and 8 reverse gears, confidently handling any agricultural task. THREE-POINT HITCH On the lower links there are hooks with interchangeable “apples” for quick coupling. The hydraulics work in both directions — it not only lifts implements but also forces them to press into the soil. Additional hydraulic outlets give the green light for complex equipment, and for active implements there is a two-speed PTO at 540 and 1000 rpm. At the same time the drawbar with a removable pendulum pivot does not block the PTO when used simultaneously. COMFORT AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT Safety is ensured by a folding roll bar, and the driver’s legs are protected by metal frames with glass inserts. Large mirrors on rigid mounts provide excellent visibility. Two serrated steps provide easy ascent to the flat floor with a rubber mat and suspended pedals. Comfortable conditions are created by a seat with armrests, height-adjustable steering wheel, an informative panel with a USB port and a convenient automotive handbrake. The Horst G 404DXU tractor is not about glossy aesthetics, but about real endurance in daily work. Its basis is simple and understandable mechanics that, with basic maintenance, serve for years.
