TRACTOR HORST A 404DXU: FORTY HORSES UNDER THE HOOD — ALL THE WORK LATER! When old equipment is already barely breathing, the work doesn't get any less, and weather and prices constantly test your resilience, there’s no extra money for experiments, but standing still is not an option either — it’s the perfect time to switch to the Horst A 404DXU tractor, which without unnecessary pomp takes on all the heavy work, provides modern functionality and helps you stay on your feet. ENGINE The hood is secured by reliable side latches, and pneumatic supports help lift it. Under it runs a 4-cylinder diesel KM490BT that starts easily in frosts thanks to an electro-flame glow plug. Clean air is guaranteed by a durable contact-oil filter that saves money on maintenance. The fuel tank is polymer under the driver platform, with a high filler neck and metal protection — refuel without extra hassle. TRANSMISSION AND CHASSIS To prevent the tractor from bouncing under load and to ensure confident movement over loose soil, front and rear ballast were added (6×11/2×2×25 kg) — the total weight of the machine reaches 1600 kg. Traction force is 11 kN, and full drive guarantees confidence in the field. Front tires 7.5-20 and rear 11.2-28 are reliably covered by fenders. The reversing gearbox provides 4 speeds forward and 4 backward in two ranges, and steering is made easy and precise by the hydrostatic steering. ATTACHMENT SYSTEM Lower hitch links with interchangeable balls simplify coupling of implements. Damping of the top spring reduces its oscillation during movement. Additional hydraulic outlets from the main distributor with quick-release couplings expand the machine’s capabilities. And for working with powered implements you have PTO at 540 and 1000 rpm. A replaceable pendulum kingpin expands transport capabilities. COMFORT AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT You can mount from either side of the tractor thanks to two steps, holding on to the metal leg protection frame and a sturdy shaped handle on the fender. The seat with anatomical backrest and suspension is adjusted by distance to the steering wheel. Elbows can rest on armrests or you can remove them completely. The multifunctional instrument panel will please with its practicality and functionality, and the quick-turn knob on the steering wheel will speed up any maneuvers. It’s enough of pulling everything on pure endurance and constantly patching old scrap metal — it’s time to reliably rely on the sturdy Horst A 404DXU tractor, feel its real working grip and make this land finally work for you, not you for it!
