The screw gasoline log splitter - branch shredder DR16 (single-side sharpening) is used for cutting branches (diameter 5 cm) into logs sized 10 - 12 cm, chopping green and dry logs from soft and hardwood. It is equipped with a powerful cutting unit with eight heat-treated steel knives with single-side sharpening, mounted on the upper and middle shafts, and a steel wedge with a work table on the side wall of the main housing.
A gasoline engine with power from 6.5 horsepower, installed on the screw gasoline log splitter - branch shredder DR16, is located at the top, on a metal mounting plate with hinged loops and a locking bolt that adjust the tension of the drive belt. The required force is transmitted from the motor pulley to the equipment pulley via a gearbox, which starts rotation of the upper and middle shafts in opposite directions. Smooth operation of the mechanism is ensured by a special flywheel mounted on the hub — a car wheel from a "Zhiguli".
On the front panel of the housing, the screw gasoline log splitter – branch shredder DR16 (single-side sharpening) is equipped with a receiving metal hopper with high sides for safe feeding of material into the crushing chamber. The finished shredded product is discharged from the opposite side of the housing through a discharge hopper with a semicircular protective cover. The unit is mounted on four legs welded to the housing, made of round profile, reinforced with steel braces.
