Specialized trailed equipment - shaker Poltava single-row potato digger for a walk-behind tractor Zirka-105, KK17 (for PTO) is designed to work with motor equipment equipped with an air cooling system, a rear power take-off shaft and a keyway.
When working with walk-behind tractors that have a splined shaft, modification of the design and an additional adapter are required. The presence of a built-in reduction gearbox and PTO drive can be attributed to the main features of this model.
The longitudinal and transverse frames with which the single-row Poltava potato digger for a walk-behind tractor for PTO is equipped are made of steel profile pipe; the strength of the frame is increased by additionally installing reinforcements and crosspieces on the structure. The length of the longitudinal frame is 49.5 cm, the walls have a thickness of 2 mm, and the cross-section is 40x40 mm; the transverse frame has a length of 44.6 cm, wall thickness of 3 mm, and a cross-section of 50x25 mm.

Then the secondary shaft of the device actuates the eccentrics and pushers, which are separately responsible for the operation of the vibrating knife and the shaker grate. As a result, the reciprocating movements caused by the pushers make these elements operate.
The gearbox of this PTO-mounted digger model is equipped with a set of gears that have a reduction ratio of 4.5 - this means that the device shaft revolutions will be 4.5 times lower than the revolutions of the power take-off shaft of the walk-behind tractor - that is, the rotation and vibration during equipment operation will be at a level maximally comfortable for high-quality harvesting work.
The working capture of the knife is 38.2 cm, the immersion depth can be adjusted by changing the position of the support wheels height, fastened with a bolt connection, as well as by their diameter. The vibrating knife undercuts a layer of soil and, together with the root crops, feeds them onto the shaker bars, where the potatoes are cleaned of adhered soil and discharged along the direction of travel of the vehicle onto the surface of the rows. The grate consists of 17 steel rods, each 50 cm long.
