Garlic planter 3-row ChS3 (standard scoops Ø24.5) is designed to be attached to motor-tractors. The design of the trailer hitch unit of the garlic planter is calculated for a single-point mounting of the motor-block type and the use of a hydraulic lift system. The garlic planter is designed for use with a motor-tractor with power from 12 hp. When using the garlic planter with a motor-tractor more powerful than 24 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work with caution, controlling the load on the units of the garlic seeder.
Purpose and conditions of use of the garlic planter ChS3
The mounted garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and onion sets on pre-cultivated and prepared soils, with soil moisture not exceeding 30%. For planting it is necessary to use calibrated planting material sized 15-25 mm.
Design features of the ChS3 garlic growing agricultural machine
The device for planting garlic has a sectional design. Each row uses a separate section with a conveyor and a hopper for planting material. The capacity of one hopper is 10 liters. The drive of the dosing mechanism of the planter for garlic and onions is carried out from the drive-support wheels. The garlic planter uses a single-shaft drive system for the dosing mechanism. Planting step in the row: 110 mm, 125 mm and 140 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox of the garlic planter. To compensate for the chain length in the garlic and onion planter a tensioner is used. The coulter and closers in the onion and garlic planter are adjustable. Planting depth of the garlic and onion seeder - 60-80 mm. The width between rows of the garlic seeder is adjustable in the range from 200 to 320 mm.

A row marker is installed on the garlic planter for marking and aligning rows.
