Garlic planter 3-row ChS21 (2 sets of cups - 34 mm and 24.5 mm) is designed for coupling with motor-tractors. The design of the hitch unit of the garlic planter is calculated for single-point attachment of the motor-block type and the use of a hydraulic lift system. The garlic planter is intended for use with a motor-tractor with power from 12 hp. When using the garlic planter with a motor-tractor more powerful than 24 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work with caution, monitoring the load on the units of the garlic seeder.
Purpose and conditions of use of the garlic planter ChS21
The mounted garlic seeder is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-clove garlic and onion sets on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture not more than 30%. For planting it is necessary to use calibrated planting material sized 15-35 mm.
Design features of the agrotechnics for growing garlic ChS21
The device for planting garlic has a sectional design. Each row uses a separate section with a conveyor and a hopper for planting material. The capacity of one hopper is 10 liters. The drive of the dosing mechanism of the planter for garlic and onions is driven from the support-driven wheels. The garlic planter uses a single-shaft drive system for the dosing mechanism. The planting step in the row: 110 mm, 125 mm and 140 mm, is adjusted by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox of the garlic planter. To compensate for the chain length in the planter for garlic and onions a tensioner is used. The opener and furrow closers in the onion and garlic planter are adjustable. The planting depth of the seeder for garlic and onions is 60-80 mm. The inter-row width of the garlic seeder is adjustable in the range from 200 to 320 mm.

A row marker is installed on the garlic planter for marking and aligning rows.
