Two-row planter for garlic and onions CHS20 (2 sets of scoops - 34 mm and 24.5 mm) is intended for use with a walk-behind tractor. The design of the hitch unit of the onion and garlic planter is calculated for a single-point hitch of the walk-behind tractor type. The garlic seeder is designed for use with a walk-behind tractor with power from 8 hp. When using the garlic seeder with a motor-tractor more powerful than 8 hp, a limited warranty is provided. In such cases it is necessary to work carefully, monitoring the load on the units of the garlic and onion seeder.
Purpose and conditions of use of the CHS20 garlic planter
The mounted garlic planter is intended for planting garlic cloves, single-tooth bulbs and onion sets on pre-tilled and prepared soils, with soil moisture not exceeding 30%. For planting it is necessary to use calibrated planting material sized 15-35 mm.
Design features of the CHS20 garlic planter
The capacity of the seed hopper is 10 liters × 2 pcs. The dosing mechanism is driven by the support-drive wheel. Row spacing: 110 mm, 125 mm, 140 mm, adjustable by changing the gear ratio on the chain gearbox of the garlic planter. A tensioner is used to compensate for chain length. The coulter and furrow closers are adjustable, planting depth – 60-80 mm. A row marker is used for marking and aligning rows.
