TRACTOR KENTAVR B 404DXU: FUNCTIONALITY OF A HEAVYWEIGHT IN A NIMBLE FORMAT Any tractor works, but the KENTAVR B 404DXU gives its all. What’s its trick? It combines honest “horsepower” with functionality you usually only see in heavyweights. A true iron rear guard that will pull through any season without surprises! ENGINE The hood lifts on gas struts, revealing a 4-cylinder diesel KM at 2.5 L. This engine produces 40 hp, is shut off with a regular key, and starts instantly in frost thanks to an electric torch-type glow plug. Air enters through a high intake with paper filters, and their condition is monitored by a vacuum indicator. A plastic 50-liter tank under the platform is protected underneath by a metal sheet and equipped with an additional transparent fuel filter. TRANSMISSION AND CHASSIS A reinforced front axle with a protected hydraulic cylinder and sturdy rear half-shafts are installed, giving the tractor a two-ton weight and a solid safety margin. For a firm hitch the wheels already have counterweights as standard: 100 kg at the rear and 90 kg at the front. Off-road tires (7.5-20 and 11.2-28) sit on dismountable rims — the track is easily adjustable, and the wheels are quickly mounted on studs. Gear selection is handled by a reversible gearbox with an 8+8 formula. THREE-POINT HITCH A three-point hitch with forced lowering is installed at the rear, and thanks to hooks and interchangeable “apples” attaching implements becomes much faster. The top link has a damper that absorbs shocks on the road. For hydraulics there are two pairs of additional outlets, and a “floating” mode is available on each section. The coupling here is combined: there is a removable pendulum pivot and a regular automotive tow hitch for a ball. The PTO delivers 540 or 1000 rpm. COMFORT AND ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT A hand wash basin is installed for hygiene, and safety is guaranteed by a strong roll bar. Grippy steps lead to the flat damped platform: a handle for ascent is mounted on the left fender, on the right — the hydraulic console with a cup holder. Suspended pedals have side rests, and the front of the feet are protected by glass in a frame. The steering wheel with quick-turn handle tilts together with a modern digital panel, and comfort is provided by an ergonomic suspension seat. The KENTAVR B 404DXU tractor has turned out truly balanced: modern, solidly built, and most importantly — it immediately feels like it has an iron safety margin.
