The mounted four-row planter for garlic on a mini-tractor CHS-8 is used for mechanized planting of bulb crops on medium sowing areas with prepared soils - plowing and cultivation. It is characterized by good productivity - up to 1.0 ha/hour, with a seeding rate of 7-10 cloves per meter. Four hoppers, with a capacity of 10 L each, are fastened to a metal profile with bolt connections, which allows changing the row spacing from 200 to 530 mm, with an overall track width of 2220 mm.
The planting devices are located inside the hoppers; the planter is driven into working condition by a chain drive from the traction wheels - in this model the drive chains are installed on both wheels and correspond separately to the left and right pairs of planting units. On the working chains there are spoons with a diameter of 34 mm for planting standard garlic cloves. As the machine moves, the traction wheels start the conveyor, which catches the seeds with the spoons, lifts them and feeds them through the guiding part of the hopper into the holes formed by keel-shaped coulters. Two flat closers, fixed at an angle, neatly cover the crop with soil along the direction of travel. The required placement depth from 60 to 80 mm is achieved by repositioning the coulter.
The garlic seeder is attached to mini-tractors with a power of from 12 horsepower by a three-point hitch system. The chain drive has a block of interchangeable sprockets, with which the planting step is adjusted - 110-125-140 mm; the interval depends on the number of teeth on the sprocket used. All elements are made of strong metal and protected with anti-corrosion coating.

Description
