Motor-cultivator Kentavr MK20-1/6
Description of the Kentavr MK20-1/6 motor-cultivator Garden-and-plot motor-cultivator MK20-1/6 is a model in the “KENTAVR” line of motor-cultivators designed for quick and efficient loosening of soil on plots up to 5 sotkas, as well as on beds, flowerbeds, in gardens and vineyards. The motor-cultivator is equipped with a 6-section tiller with a cultivation width of 450 mm or 650 mm, which allows soil to be loosened with maximum precision and neatness next to tree trunks, bushes or other plantings, as well as near fences, curbs, around poles, decorative park structures and rock gardens. A wide handlebar with soft ergonomic grips, a clutch lever of modern design, a convenient hand-throttle lever, an additional plastic transport wheel, protective fenders that cover the tillers across the entire width — all this allows you to work with this motor-cultivator without applying significant physical force, so its use will be comfortable and safe even for women and the elderly. Due to the power of a reliable 4-stroke gasoline engine, 3.0 hp, the motor-cultivator is capable of quality soil loosening in a single pass to a depth of up to 150 mm, even on fairly dense soils or those that have not been previously cultivated. The gasoline engine provides the motor-cultivator with autonomy for field work, has low weight, starts easily at low air temperatures, quickly responds to throttle control, and is simple and affordable in maintenance and operation. The engine is equipped with an effective air filter and a manual starter. The muffler is covered with a protective casing to prevent possible burns. Drive of the motor-cultivator is carried out by a V-belt transmission with a controlled pressure roller. The tiller drive is carried out by a worm gearbox. The belt drive serves simultaneously as a power transmission, clutch and a safety and protection element. If during operation the tiller suddenly jams on a stone or a stick, the belt drive will absorb the shock and prevent damage to the engine and gearbox. In addition, a motor-cultivator with a belt drive is significantly lighter in weight and cheaper in price, as well as simpler and more convenient to operate and maintain than one with a gear drive. The driving and driven pulleys, as well as the pressure rollers, are not plastic but metal, so they have a long service life. The V-belt is segmented, with high traction characteristics. For safety and protection from dirt, the entire belt drive is reliably covered with a casing. A tiller with a working diameter of 300 mm is installed on the motor-cultivator. The tiller consists of four shovel-shaped knives in each section. The knives are made of structural sheet steel. The spiral arrangement of the knives reduces vibration and ensures even loading on the gearbox. All metal surfaces, including the engine frame, tiller parts and depth gauge, are quality painted for corrosion protection and to extend their service life.
